Belgian member organisation GAIA held a press conference today where it uncovered extremely shocking images from an investigation into the trade on horse meat from North and South America, from breeding to slaughter. It points to the fact that no attention is paid to the animals' welfare at all and practices are used which are outlawed in the EU and yet this meat ends up on our supermarket shelves.
